I have never seen one of this wattage before, probably because 1000W reactor and HX ballasts seem to practically non-existent (or at least I haven't heard much about them in the US). Seeing this warm up would be really cool, even if just for a test on CWA, but at the same time it looks so nice in it's current pristine condition. Very nice lamp!

That's quite a unique lamp there. If I'm not mistaken, GTE Sylvania was the only lamp maker to offer this type. I'm with Drew, you should light it up (and post pictures here).

@Drew - This lamp will never be tried on a CWA...to rare to risk.
@Max - A GTE-Sylvania exclusive...I've never seen any mention of a competing option from GE, or Westinghouse/Philips.
